I would try and save you all but I would save the children first, its wrong to think just because they are illegal immigrants that they dont deserve to live. We are all human beings. No matter where we come from. Now if it was a murderer /child molester than NO I wouldnt save their life so that they could ruin so many other lives.
You shouldnt be asking a question like this I wouldnt choose between any of you. And just because you are from america and are here legally doesnt mean your life is more valuable than theirs. You should learn to open your mind and your heart. There are good people in every race, origin and background and Im not going to value one human life over another. The only reason they are here is because America is the land of Oppurtunity. Everyone from America except for Native Americans were all immigrants. Seeking to practice freedom from oppression and all that we hold dear as Americans. People want better for their families. We take our freedom for granted. A lot of people from different countries do not have what we have. So although they should come to this country legally. I cant discriminate against anyone who is seeking a better life for themselves and for their families. Thats the reason our ancestors came to this country. Dont be so arrogant , and think that your life is more valuable than anothers...sorry if i offended.

My attempt will be to save as many lives as possible. Which means, whoever requires least effort/time will be saved first, followed by the one who would take next least effort/time, and so on. This approach is known as "shortest operations time first" heuristic.
For example, I would not save a child (just because he is a child), if in the same time/effort I could save four adults

I would save you, since you are obviously a goodhearted American and then I would go back and ask to see some ID, if they were still afloat. If their documentation was obviously forged, I would point to the other side of the Rio Grande and say, "Swim-a-vous, por favor."

Tough call....if I could deport the illegal immigrants and their kids right after, I would save them. Sorry. Rules are rules and if you're going to be a hero, you go for quantity, not quality.

I'm hoping 911 would have been called by that time..
Who knows.. of course, the mexicans wouldn't call 911.. They'd be afraid they'd get deported.
