There is no medical term for 'she-male' because it is not a medical condition. She-male is a term for men who are in transition from male to female. Pre-operative transexuals (a more pc term) undergo a series of steps on the way to 'sexual reassignment', including lots of therapy, dressing as the desired gender, image and voice counseling, hormone treatments, body enhancement or augmentation surgery, declarations to friends and family, obtaining letters of recommendation for re-assignment surgery and, lastly...snip-snip! (followed by more therapy, of course). She-males, or pre-operative transexuals, have undergone, at least, the augmentation and hormone treatment phases. While the the attainment of a fully (almost) functional female body is the goal of most pre-op transexuals, there are some who have found employment in the porn industry as alternative, or exotic, entertainers. Some also, proudly, wear the title of 'sexual oddity' and are featured in x-rated video and dvd releases. This is probably how you were introduced to the 'she-male' term. BTW, there is a whole spectrum of individuals that fall under the 'transgendered' umbrella. From part-time crossdressers to drag queens to transexuals. They incude both male-to-female and female-to-male...but very few hermaphrodites. Hermaphroditic individuals have the sexual organs, in varying states of formation, of both a female and male. The number of hermaphrodites in existance is very small as doctors usually, with or without the parents' consent, surgicly 'decide' the sex of the baby shortly after it's birth. Because of the increase of 'intersexed' people, whose gender was chosen for them, displaying gender disphoria later in life, some doctors have opted to leave hermaphroditic children the way they are, with the idea that the child will make the choice when they are older. On a sad note, in lesser developed areas of the world, hermaphrodites are killed, as their 'attributes' prove them to be demons.

They are known as hermaphrodites. The product in which they carry both the X and Y dominate chromosomes. They have either a very small penis (one that looks like a clit) and testicles that are so far up in them, they are unrecognizable. Or, they have a penis, but they carry out female chromosomes that makes the person who looks like they can pass off as a boy, breasts, fully formed (or forming) breasts.
Some hermaphrodites choose to live as either a male or female when they get older.

Hermaphrodites if it is a natural state (born that way)
Transsexuals if it is the result of medical intervention.

(But why is it "shemales" and not "hefemales"?)
