when she is excited when we are petting her or something she nibbles on things. she uses her front teeth and it almost looks like she is cold and her teeth are chattering. she does this to our hands and stuff too. it doesnt hurt because she doesnt really bite down sometimes her teeth might pinch us a little bit but its not like biting or anything. does anyone understand what im saying? and if you do why do dogs do this?

Oh yeah my dog and cat do that same exact thing. We call it "getting the bugs off"= u know how monkeys do that to their babies LOL. U hit the right spot that she can't reach and she is loving it! It is totally normal and nothing 2 worry about. By the way if that is her in the picture she is awfully cute!

Sometimes dogs will do that if they are just comfortable. I am wondering at what age was the dog taken away from its mother?? I know that if cats are taken away from their mom too early that they will do a sucking thing when they are comfortable being petted, or when they are laying on you they will start to like kneed at your chest or arm. Your dog is just very comfortable around you and when you are petting it. I wouldn't worry about it. Just remember she is very happy around you. :)

She is fleaing you. Or grooming you. She does it because she loves you. Dogs do it to their pups, and other dogs as well. It's natural. Kind of like monkeys grooming each other. My german short hair and my rat terrier do the same thing.

She's nibbling for your fleas. My dog does that too when I'm scratching her back and it's like she's diggin for fleas.

That might be a nervous reaction. Try going to your vet to see if its serious or not.

Yeah I understand perfectly...My Black Lab does that to my ears when/after he licks them. I really don't know why, but it is funny.
