The folks who said "sashimi" are right.  "Sushi" actually refers to the rice.

The seaweed wrap is called "nori".

The type of fish that is safe to eat raw is called sushi or sashimi grade fish. It is also great cooked.

Sashimi it is. Though it is important to note that this does not include rice, as someone else suggested it does. A piece of sashimi on rice is called nigiri. A roll with fish, and or vegetables, rolled in rice is called maki. All of it is delicious in my opinion. :)

Sashimi. (I think these are the ones that aren't wrapped up in the seaweed. Its placed on top of the rice.) Sushi are the ones that are wrapped with seaweed
