Belive it or not they are trying to impress you or they are insecure. Guys get just as nervous as girls or sometime more. They just want to make a good impressions and some of them strecth the truth. Especially with money they make, where they live, who they live with. haha I have heard it all. If you are talking about lying about who they were with or where they were then thats just an a--hole.

generally they do so they can get what they want from a girl and if they are cought then they lie again,thats boys for when your dealing with men it can be the same.

Cause they r jerks. I mean not on purpose sometimes but they r. Then they think that ur gonna forgive them, but sometimes its just too much.

People lie all the time.
(And if you doubt my claim that you lie.. Do you wear makeup? You're lying about your appearance. Do you wear heels? You're lying about your height.)

it depends on the situation...each situation may require a different mindset and a different lie.sometimes to cover our butts...sometimes to help make you feel good or to not hurt you.....lies aren't always told to hurt other people
