i have flown before and been fine but this time i am just really freaked

planes could make you closterphobic, just try and think of how much space there is. if you are especially nervous tell a flight attendent. that's what they are there for! don't read! listen to relaxing music, get comfy, stretch your legs every so often.

get some reading material on flying an airplane and get a window seat on the wing, so you can look outside and see what the plane does.
if you understand what happens when and why, you will feel more in control and less scared

Try positioning the little nozzle above your seat to blow air over your face. The breeze should have a calming effect.

chew gum, close your eyes, and hope for the best.
try not to sit by the window seat. if you have to, concentrate on the scenary. it's really cool once you're up in the air.

fly first class, more room, and get a window seat.
heck, I fly all the time, no problem but these crowded flights make me claustrophobic too!

i am one of those people who believe that if it does not feel right you shouldn't do it,,i don't like to fly anyway,,but i would say if you got a bad feeling about it,,don't do it,, we all have a built in warning system,,when we think something is not right,,i firmly believe in following it,,i hope this help,s.

how about getting one of those battary operated mini fans and take it with you and try to use it while closing your eyes if your sitting down or try walking around with it... might help having some fresh air on you ;)
