For anyone on last night to help me work through my delimea about my hair - I have made up my mind to go way short. Hey, growing up has forced me into loosing the piercings and I have never wanted a tatoo sober, so doing something outrageous with my hair --- SAYS IT ALL. Right?
Anyways, I failed to mention that at the moment my hair has hot pink highlights with all the other drama, so in order to get a professional job - I must go back naturally medium brown. BUT, again, I want to pust the envolope - so, after dying it brown how soon can I add some blonde highlights?

After coloring your hair, you should wait 2 weeks, before adding more colors.

I think that you should push the envelope with your hair if you feel like it. You are young and you can still pick something trendy that looks professional. I have an extremely serious job but I do like to have modern hair styles and colour (nothing too crazy, but I certainly don't want to look like an old lady).
My suggestion is that you choose a very good hairdresser and let them guide you. I know that it may seem like a large outlay of money, but, if you look great, you will increase your chances of landing that dream job!

i suggest waiting at least two weeks but a month would be better and go to your salon and get some professional conditioning treatments in between it really will help make your hair look and feel sexier, for a cond at home try biolage cond balm , its pricey but a little goes along way and rinse any cond out in cooler water than you shampooed in it closes the cuticle over the cond molecule so that it works from the inside out, instead of rinsing down the drain, good luck babe

They can foil it so you don't have to double process. Get someone who knows what they are doing. It can be done all at once, and is less damaging then dying and the highlighting over it. It will be one step to each hair strand instead of two, on already processed hair.

I used a product that you use immediately after colouring your hair. The only problem is that blonde isn't one of the colours that worked on brown. I think that mahogany and copper were the colours that you got. They were very nice hight-lights though. It is Garnier Multi-Lights.

first they are going to have to either strip the pink out or dye it darker brown, you can put in blonde hl'swhen you color it broen. take care of your hair or it is going to be so dry and ugly. dont wash it every day and use a deep cond. and a daily cond. also use a heat protector if you are using a flat iron of curler alot.

If you go to the salon you can do it all at the same time.
