I went to a wedding reception recently and noticed the bartender. I thought he was hot, but was WAY to chicken to talk to him. So, my friend, unbeknownst me, went and told him I wanted to talk to him if he wasn't dating anyone. (I know, I'm 26 and she went to talk to him, but I didn't ask her to) Anyway, she told me that he would talk to me if I went up to the bar. So I did. We talked for a few minutes, not long because he was working. I got his phone number, but he didn't get mine. He didn't ask for it and I didn't offer it. I called him a few days later and left a message on his cell voicemail. He never called back. Now, in your opinion, did he give me his number to be nice, knowing he wouldn't call me back or do you think he wanted to call me but something happened and he didn't? (Not like a house dropped on him, but maybe erased the message before writing down the number, etc)

Is it too late to call him again? The wedding was 3 weeks ago.

Maybe he is really shy. Did you get that feeling from your talk with him? Otherwise maybe he is really busy and haven't gotten around to calling back. Maybe he doesn't want to seem desperate (not that you are being desperate). There are many maybes And yes maybe he isn't interested. If that is the case then don't worry about it. Maybe call once more and leave a message saying if he is not interested than to at least call you back and tell you. I would at least want to know for sure.

If he is like me he did not have the time to get back with you when he found the message and by the time he remembered it had been a day or two and knows how women are. He might not call back because of how long it took and knows you will just give him a bunch of crap about taking so long and you would not go out with him anyway now.
Most guys are not looking for rejection so we just don't bother calling.

Well, anything might of happened...If your interested, call him back....Life is to short to play games...He might be involved but you can find that out....Dont be shy, if it isnt in the cards, you might meet someone that has something to offer as a friend....DONT have self doubt, be friendly, and look for what people have to offer....Youll never know what ya missed, and regret =bad. Take the time to find out for sure

He was trying not to embarrass you by telling you he wasn't interested when you talked to him. If he didn't call back there was a reason and it has nothing to do with any kind of accidental erasure.

Sucks right?lol well maybe he's seen your friend, ask her If she's got the #, if he spent time with you maybe he was interested, and probably lost your #, you should try to find him if you really like him, stalk him lol, nah just look @!

That's a tough one because sometimes we really are abnormally goofy. Give contact another shot and you'll be better able to evaluate his reactions. Good luck. He'll probably be glad you did.
