Just curious to know if other christians have had an experience like that because I was told not to reveal that you are a christian in a workplace because people can easily try to make you angry on purpose.

Didn't you know they all think a synonym for Christian is door mat? Everyone thinks just because you are a Christian that they should be able to take advantage of your kindness and walk all over you, and then they think you should just say "Thank you and God bless you for treating me like crap." They also think that being a Christian means that you are supposed to be perfect, but they don't realize that the only perfect one who has ever lived is Jesus. I know what you mean by people trying to make you angry on purpose. If they succeed in doing that then they can point out how big of a hypocrite they think you are. In fact they are the hypocrites because they don't treat you the way that they would treat someone of another religion. They say everyone should be able to worship as they choose, but what they really mean is everyone except for Christians or Jews, that makes them the hypocrites who hold a double standard. To heck with what they think, keep doing your thing.

It depends on how you reveal you are a Christian. If you talk about Christianity all the time, it would get boring and on some peoples nerves. What Christians have to realize is that not all people love being told they are bad, stupid, mean, and a sinner when they are trying so hard to be good. So if you talk about Christianity all the time, this can raise a flag for people to try to make you angry just to prove to themselves that you are still human and you are not as perfect as you keep telling them you are.

So it is just human nature to bring others down to others level.

Why don't all of you Christians go have a pity party with each other? Most of us in the real world can not admit what religion we are because Christianity is the majority religion. You act like you are so persecuted, but you think everyone else worships the devil that doesn't believe the way you do. How's that for persecution? My beliefs are very important to me, but I can't share them with many people because of what they have learned in Christian church about other religions. Just ignore jerks at work and get on with your silly lives.

That advice is ridiculous. We are told to go and witness! Who told you to not tell anyone? Everyone at work knows I'm a Christian, and when I go to work, I go for the Lord. I work for the Lord, and whatever He brings my way I try to do. Don't worry about being taken advantage of, do it all for the Lord, with joy in your heart.
Because they know I'm a Christian, what happens is this, when they need to talk they come to me, when they have problems they tell me, when they think I could pray they come to me, when they need a favor and nobody else will do it, they come to me, what a blessing, you will love it, because this is how it should be, you go girl!!

I have had an experience of that sort. People at one job had a range of reactions. One fellow tried to gross me out because I was a Christian. I knew what he was going for and didn't get grossed out. Because I knew what he was doing, I let him know some key elements about this that did not make it credible.
People in other jobs have asked me questions that were aimed to make me mad. Because I saw through it, I turned it around on them. It is not that I am that smart or something

it doesn't matter where you are, at work, home, in the train, plain, bus, mall, church, park. People always try, but not all of them. Just know who you are wnd where you stand with the Lord, let no one shake you down. And remember, if they attack you in anyway, make sure you pass the test, blessing is on the way. Tell satan he is a lier. Stay strong, be encouraged, don't associate yourself with fools, and show some love even when it seem rediculous, silly or stupidous to other people. But never stop loving.

I find this to be a common problem in most workplaces, as they rely on the fact that the Bible states that Jesus says for us to turn the other cheek. And as for them trying to make us christians angry it is so they can justify their actions and attitudes toward christians.

Sure, people would assume that because I was a Christian that meant that I would just do anything for anyone lol.

And yes, they would say and do things to try to make me angry ... they are testing you to see how well you hold up under pressure as a Christian. No biggie, just smile and remember to love them.

No, but there are many Christians where I work, and we are proud of it. But it wouldn't affect how I acted at work, because I try to live my Faith 24/7. It is who I am, not just something I do on Sunday morning.

people do that from time to time...they find great amusement in trying to upset Christians...i had a boss who had a habit of dropping extra 'f-bombs' around Christians..of course, he's the same guy who offered a benediction at our Christmas dinner while drunk as a skunk...so we pretty much knew he was a fool anyway...and some folks will drop their share of the workload on you because they figure you're going to turn the other cheek...no big deal
