People get "fixed" and still have sex. Ever heard of a vasectomy or a hysterectomy? The "fixing" is internal and has no affect on her ability to still have sex. Although this may decrease a cats interest in such thing because of a change in their hormones, there's no guarantee there will be any change. Even though their reproductive organs do not perform the functions necessary for actual reproduction, if completely healed from the surgery it will in no way inhibit the animals ability to have sex. If a cat is humping another cat, it may not actually be having sex. I am not sure about this in cats, however in dogs, it is a dominance issue. I'm not sure why this is a concern, although it could be embarrassing to have your pets doing such a thing in front of company, just remember, its a natural process and while it seems we human do everything possible to change things that are natural, it is something that is probably fine to be left how it is. After all, you already took it, involuntarily, to be castrated.... Regardless, having an animal fixed will not prevent an animal from having sex, just from concieving any offspring.

Umm, that really depends on when they were fixed. If they were fixed before reaching reproductive years, then the answer is they won't. If they were fixed after reaching their reproductive years, they may still have the urge to have sex. Side note to consider. Some male cats fixed after reaching adulthood have shown a tendency towards homosexuality after being fixed. Thought I would warn you.

Yes they can. I can't believe I'm answering this.

They might not be as interested but they can. Being fixed just means that there wont be any new kitties in a few months time.

They technically could if they wanted to...the body parts for that are still there...but they do not want to. Humans have sex for other reasons than reproduction. It is mental not just physical. Cats are only directed by nature. Their body knows it is unable to reproduce so they have no desire. So they do not have sex.

Sometimes it depends on when your cat was spayed/neutered. It can potentially become habit if they were fixed late in life. If its a female thats in question......its possible that maybe not all of her ovaries were taken if shes spayed....not likely......contact your vet!
Either way if there "fixed" they shouldnt be able to make babies.

I saw my boy cat do it once and he was fixed. I was shocked. My brother stood laughing. I never seen it anymore just the one time but it was odd I thought.

why do you care so much? yes, they can! I have a male/female who are both spayed/neutered and they have never done anything though of that sort.
