Dont you love that phrase "spritual warfare". Conversations like "brother, im having some serious spirtual warfare right now, at work and at home, pray for me or cast out demons".

You know, it really helps to spirtualize everything, that way you are sure not to understand whats really going on.

Spiritual warfare is a term applied by religious people to their own attempts to destroy the self esteem and world esteem of others. Generally this is accomplished by accusing others of being demon possessed and or evil and proposing that the Earth is ruled by an evil one called Satan who is at war with and cast down by a good one in Heaven. If destruction of the self esteem and world esteem is successful, then religious people may follow spiritual warfare with spiritual reconstruction. Spiritual reconstruction involves convincing other to surrender their own authority to make up their own minds about self and world to ideological authorities who claim to know the truth about the existence and will of God. Communities of faithful believers use both spiritual warfare and spiritual reconstruction in the hopes of convincing others to join them in their neverending quest to convert the entire world to their particular beliefs.

Sorry to disappoint you, I know what is going on the Spirit is eternal the Body is not. and I do not worry over demons, because Greater is the Spirit that is in me than the one in the world, How do I know? I can walk in a room of Non believers and they leave, My spirit casts them out. And the same is true of all who are Holy Spirit Anointed Christians.

Swedenborg states "a perception of the sphere of falsity from evil that flows forth from hell has often been granted me. It was like a perpetual effort to destroy all that is good and true, combined with anger and a kind of fury at not being able to do so, especially an effort to annihilate and destroy the Divine of the Lord, and this because all good and truth are from Him. But out of heaven a sphere of truth and good was perceived, whereby the fury of the effort ascending from hell was restrained. The result of this was an equilibrium. This sphere from heaven was perceived to come from the Lord alone, although it appeared to come from the angels in heaven. It is from the Lord alone, and not from the angels, because every angel in heaven acknowledges that nothing of good and truth is from himself, but all is from the Lord" (Heaven and Hell n. 538).

Where I do agree, is that too many "christians" blame the "devil" for what is really there own doings.

perhaps you are speaking of the aethists Neitche

have you heard the story about Neitche and the horse?

Neitche believed mercy was aweakness leading to th edeath of God, who died of pity

Neitche saw a cabbie beating a horse and ran to stop it and realized that he himself was being merciful and fainted and spent the rest of his life in the nut house where his sister sold tickets for people to see her famous brother and Neitchie signed his name 'the crucified one'

so perhaps Neitche lost his war with both religion and mental health in one swoop ... sadly... didnt stop many people from following his philosophies in the 20th century..

title this comment... Neitchie.. an athiest driven nuts by his own philosophy !!!!
