I believe some things pointed out in the book are true because it's backed up by solid evidence. Like the Holy Grail...something people believed in for years...I'm not Christian but i also think it's dumb how it says that being gay is wrong. THe bible is old, people are more open minded now.

There are facts that are really hidden from the vaults of the Vatican Church. A history that may point to why Christianity has been divided to more than a hundred kinds of denominations. Even the Catholic Church itself is divided basically from liberal, to traditional to conservative to radical and the interpretations of the Bible both Old and New is always undergoing deeper studies that they try to suit to the changing nature of the world. Hence you will notice in their Holy Book the date of revised editions.
The Church however does not despise homesexuality or gender conditions, it is a hormonal case that they cannot yet explain why it is happening. They do not consider them sinners. They are just not agreeable to a ceremonial Christian Marriage of both sexes because of the natural process of procreation. The Bible is never Old and man's being open minded now does not neccessarily negate the meaning of the golden rule of life where most of it are written in the Holy Book.

The DaVinci Code is a work of fiction, plan and simple. And no, some of the facts are plain wrong. The pentacle, for example, has NOTHING to do with Venus and there was no matriarchal universal Goddess cult. Some of the theories and speculations in the book are real but they are just that...theory and speculation.

Of course the facts are true!!

What facts are there in the DaVinci Code?

If Dan Brown doesn't even know that the Dead Sea Scrolls have absolutely NOTHING to say about the historical Jesus, again, what facts are you speaking about?

He did claim in the introduction to the book that the book is historically accurate.

The author has always stated the DaVinci Code is a work of fiction. There are places, organizations and objects within the story that are real, but the basis for the story is not.

in my opinion, i'm a Deist, so evidently it makes extra experience to me. i'm a stay and enable stay. inspite of works for the guy; even if that is Christianity, Taoism, Buddhism, etc. as far as i'm worried, a minimum of the following in united statesa., all of us have a suitable below the united statesstructure to worship in spite of the undeniable fact that we please, and we actually have a suitable to believe that our faith is the right one. We actually have a suitable no longer to worship, and being a former Atheist, it is wonderful with me too. i can appreciate anybody's faith, so long because it would not promote violence adversarial to a unique human being. we do no longer have a suitable to rigidity our faith on human beings. Any component that makes one a extra effective human being and delivers them a purpose or which ability in existence, opt for it!

Changing faiths is not worth the hell fire.

Swedenborg states "a perception of the sphere of falsity from evil that flows forth from hell has often been granted me. It was like a perpetual effort to destroy all that is good and true, combined with anger and a kind of fury at not being able to do so, especially an effort to annihilate and destroy the Divine of the Lord, and this because all good and truth are from Him. But out of heaven a sphere of truth and good was perceived, whereby the fury of the effort ascending from hell was restrained. The result of this was an equilibrium. This sphere from heaven was perceived to come from the Lord alone, although it appeared to come from the angels in heaven. It is from the Lord alone, and not from the angels, because every angel in heaven acknowledges that nothing of good and truth is from himself, but all is from the Lord" (Heaven and Hell n. 538).
