you should just concentrate on the part of the ball you're trying to strike - keep your breathing steady but don't hold it because it'll tense you up - calm breathing, focus on the ball

I inhale through my backswing, and exhale through my down swing. It helps keep a good tempo. Teaching professionals, such as David Leadbetter say to inhale before you swing, and exhale throught your entire swing.

inhale during backswing but not too deeply, like in lifting weights you exhale on your power stroke, and you always do the same thing every time to groove your swing and develop consistency

This is a great question. Usually, when you're betting heavily, you shoot this question at your opponent just when he about to tee off. It will make him wonder about the breath that he will screw up his drive. Believe me, don't think about it.
