Like the first person said, drink lots of water and take some Tylenol or ibuprofen. People get hangovers because of dehydration usually. If you are able to eat toast or something like that, eat also.

First advice is for preventing hangovers. Do not mix beer and hard alcohol in that order. Beer before liquor, never been sicker. Liquor before beer, you're in the clear. It does affect the way you feel.

As for getting rid of a hangover, eat light and drink lots of water. Then take a good rest. That should do it. If that doesn't or the nausea won't let up. 3 steps. Vomit, Shower, sleep.

Okay...hangover is simply a dehydrated body...your lacking fluids.
It takes about 24 hours to get those fluids back into your system. So the faster you can replace those fluids the faster your hangover will go away. Drink Tomato juice with hot Tobasco sauce for starters.
Then drink gatorade. You have to get those fluids back quicly and get them absorbed back into your blood stream.
If your drink plenty of fluids for six hours after you get up, by the end of the day your ready to rock on another tie down;)

before you go to bed that night, drink a 16 oz glass of water....it will help rehydrate you. Dont drink anymore water than that, or you may throw up. My mom also swears by this. When you wake up with a hangover take 2 asprin or ibuprofin along with a beer, the hair of the dog!

Before you go to bed.....no matter how drunk you are, drink at least one pint of water, preferably 2 and take two tylenol or aleve or whatever (not vicodin!) and go to sleep! You will wake up feeling like a spring chicken! Then eat a good hearty breakfast of bacon and eggs and fresh oj and a vat of coffee. You will be set for the day. As a pre curser.....put the water and tylenol by the bed before you go out.....or put some in your pants/purse just incase you don't go home!!!!!

Drink lots of fluid, non-alcoholic, because you've already had enough. I like to drink apple juice myself. Eat lightly. Get some rest! I also like to use Emer gen-C dietary supplement. It helps and take some OTC pain reliever, if you really need it. Be more careful in the future so you won't feel so hung over the next time. Hope you feel better soon

well, I know how to prevent one. When u leave the bar go to a diner or even McDonalds and eat something really greasy (drunk munchies are the best) then before you pass out take and advil with a giant glass of water. I always take some water to bed with me too so when I wake up in the middle of the night with cotton mouth it's right there.
