Wasps do not lose their stingers, try putting wet tobacco on the affected area, it draws out the venom. cut open a cigarette mix with a little water to make a paste, it's the only thing cigarettes are good for. I've used this method many times for myself and my kids.

Ice for wasp stings, but put a thin cloth between you and the ice due to frost-bite. Ditto with the above, keep a phone close by. If the stinger is still in, then you have to wait for the ice to keep it from swelling more before you try to get it out. The swelling will, more than likely, get worse if you try while it is swollen and hot.

Ice and antihistamines. Have somebody look at the area and scratch the stinger out. DON'T SQUEEZE!! It'll potentially pump more venom into you.

You say it's swelling up a lot, so you might want to take a trip to the hospital. Allergy to insect stings can be fatal.

Have someone remove the stinger! Also, take a benadryl immediately. Tylenol also helps with the pain.

When I was a kid and stepped on a bee, we would put baking soda on it (make a paste with water). Then I would take an aspirin for the pain and swelling. It would still hurt.
If you start having trouble breathing, get yourself to the doctor as you may be allergic.

You need to get the stinger out, then a paste of baking soda or MSG and water on the site will help. If you are alergic you need to get immediate medical help.

If you can, get someone to soak a paper towel in vinegar and press it to the wound to neutralize the venom.

Call 911. I'm allergic & I will stop breathing. So if you dont know that you are allergic, I'd keep the phone nearby.
