I don't believe how many people don't know that catholics are Christians! Jesus is proud of you, guys... By the way, did you know that the word "Christian" comes from the name of the one that you all pretend to follow?

Who said Christians hate Catholics? Are you saying that Catholics are not Christian? You may believe in Jesus but even Satan believes in Jesus. So how does that make you any different? Just believing in something does not make you any better or worse than anyone else, does it? Mother Mary or the Saints don't bother me in the least. Why should they? It is you that make them gods, not me. Read the bible, your own in fact, and you will find a lot of things that are taught a lot different than what your church teaches. In fact I can show you everything I believe out of YOUR bible. And I am not Catholic any more. It is YOUR church that boasts the power to change God;s laws and times and such but where does it say in any bible that the created has the power to change any of the Creators laws? Or any Church? Nowhere that I have ever found. If your church would not boast so, more people might even be induced to join if it did not go against the bible so much. If you have the guts to check it out, I have the guts to show it to you from the bible, any that you choose to use. Just check out the site below and do the lessons and you will see what the bible says. Then see if you still think everyone hates the Catholics or if maybe there are reasons for some to be against a church that has to boast of its power and that most protestant churches follow.

Jesus loves the Catholics too. the only thing that puzzles me is religion(rules & regulations) that will not earn you a seat in heaven. Religion aleinates people, causes wars. Almost every religion preaches the way to God but we know and if you read your bible (that is if your church encourages you too) you will know Jesus is the Way, Truth and Life and most importantly if we accept him as Lord and Savior we are welcomed into his kingdom.
Mother Mary does not bother me so much as many Catholics believe that mother Mary is the way to God. Mother Mary was chosen she is not God nor is she a savior. We do Catholics pray to dead saints what powers do they have? Why are we (or Catholic churches) not praying directly to God the Father in the name of Jesus. Why use repetious prayers try praying from the heart> God searches the heart a genuine heart. I was raised in the Catholic church but I always felt something was missing church became very repetious even the prayers, I had a need to search and look for truth, purpose, meaning. I was given a book called The Purpose Driven Life, great book help me to understand some of the questions I had, and that was just the beginning. I can ramble on some more but I'll stop right here. Keep on your journey cuz God has a plan for you too. Pray to him to reveal the truth to you , He is faithfull and loving. All the best to you God Bless you

Tell me Catholics why do you hate Christians such. This Question is just as easily reversed. Sterotyping displays this in nature. All Groups of God-believing bodies have people in them that will be saved into the Father, its a fact you accept Christ as your Lord you shall have eternal life. Mother Mary and the saints illustrate to us that
they are people, just like you and me. They are to be loved and cherished as you would love a neighbor or an enemy. But As a believer we need to go straight to the Head. We have instant contact with the Lord. we speak in His Name and he will listen, there are no futher steps we should take, lest we fall.
He will take care of things thru us, He is the Light and He is Life.

First of all, I thought Catholics WERE Christians. The biggest difference I can see is that we Protestants(the correct term) don't believe in elevating church officials to the status of gods. Personally, I don't hate Catholics. I just disagree with the Catholic Church. True Christians shouldn't "hate" anyone!

Let me take a stab at this. I am Christian, and I don't hate Catholics. However, the point in question is not about Jesus. According and rightfully pointing out the issue in your question is the issue of Mary, mother of Jesus. We both agree that she is the mother of Jesus, Roman Catholics call her the "Mother of God". And that is offensive, even to Mary.

I believe Martin Luther has already given you the answer you are seeking.

By the way, Catholics are Christians. In this case, it would probably be best if you refered to non-Catholic Christians as Protestants, a term meaning non-Catholic Christians.

Finally in answer to your question, you should not change your beliefs to fit what the public wants. The fable of the father son and their donkey says that if you try to please everyone, you please no one at all. Changing your beliefs to match mine will not get everyone to like you. Finally, it is your differences in beliefs that make you who you are. Never change that

I hope you are a child, because then I can understand your question being born of juvenile confusion and misinformation.
A. Catholics ARE Christians, so you must rephrase your questions in order for it to make any sense and
B. If you are referring to protestants, who told you they hate Catholics? I've met people with a "holier than thou" attitude in both denominations, but admittedly more of them in the Catholic church than anywhere, but that may have been a regional thing.
And sorry, neither Mary nor the Saints bother me or anyone I know.
So get over yourself.

For the most part Protestant Christians and Catholics are getting along better now than they have in the past 500 years.

Of course, there are also some Christians who don't consider Catholics as Christians, but these same Christians who reject everyone who is different from themselves.

Who said Christians hate Catholics? Mother Mary bothers someone? Maybe they just don't worship her like you do. Does that mean they hate you because they don't agree with you?
