i may have lyme disease, and i just started taking doxycyclin.

Well, it depends. It's different for everyone, but most start feeling better within a week. The big issue with most people is taking their antibiotics! It's very important that you take ALL of them, or your symptoms will come back sooner and usually are worse and last longer. Just make sure you take all your meds like you doctor says. I think that this disease is something you will have to live with the rest of your life, depending on how severe your case is. Good luck and I hope things work out for you.
