I'm not sure, but I believe that believing she was legal age is actually a valid defence .. you just have to prove it. Unfortuately, there is a massive double standard ... as you mentioned teenagers being tried as adults - has that ever happened with a female teenage criminal? I haven't heard of it.

Males are protrayed as scum - whatever age - and females can often get away with things that males would be crucified for.

You're right -- that's not fair, or correct. Sadly though, it IS the Law. Young girls do lie...and they should get what they deserve.

Maybe if you can come up with a better legal solution, we can get the law changed. Still, some crimes shouldn't be protected from prosecution just by some kid saying "I'm still a teenager, so what if I murdered that guy?".

specific, continuously specific. whilst will boys ever discover ways to ask females for an id. This has been occurring by using fact the guidelines have been made. He can in basic terms tell the certainty and enable God look after something. it rather is not appropriate what the girl says, she lies, undesirable issues will take place to her. i know a guy that beat his spouse for some years, no person believed or helped her. To make a protracted tale short, she finally have been given away, then after 7 yrs, he will pass to penal complex for existence, the factor is, she needed no revenge. She left it up God.

The reasons Behind the laws in question is that they are either made by older women or the husbands of said women. What better way of keeping your husband from looking at a 17-18 year old girl than the threat of Jail time.

Girls who sleep with underaged guys who lie about their age get in trouble just as much as men do.

Find out WHO you are sleeping with and there will be no problem.

Yes it is a double standard. Follow this rule of thumb.."16 will get you 20, but whatever age she looks, assume she's 3 years younger."

Better safe than stupid, bro.

Women do go to jail for having sex with younger boys. Most teenagers are adults. If they can have can get married, have sex, and babies, they know right from wrong.
