I have heard that the more you eat beans, the less gas you get. I think your system makes more enzymes that digest them better. I think that certain Latino cultures eat beans daily. Have their systems adjusted so that they don't get gas as much?

I am a mexiacan american that lives in the Laredo texas border and damn do i get gas after al these years. I was raised on beans and rice. Oh and flour tortillas

If the beans are allowed to ferment, then there is less chance of gas, which is what pinto beans are allowed to do in many authentic Mexican dishes. In America, beans usually aren't allowed to ferment because of taste reasons. The asian diet is high in bean protein also (soy), but much of it is fermented.

Yes i believe so. Not only Latino's i believe that every person in the world regardless to where he/she comes from, their bodies have adapted to the person's food life-style. We cannot gurantee all the people are alike you also might find some whose bodie's may not accept their food style. It depends from person to person but majority of them do adapt.
I guess we can also call this evolution in a way.

everybody gets gas..but I believe that you are correct..people who switch to high vegetable diets of any kind experience increased gas for the first while..then it sort of settles down...same thing for beans i'd think...but I really don't know if it's just latino's or just people in general....I don't really think there are any genetic differences.

The baking soda trick does help, as one writer pointed out. Seriously, the more you eat beans, legumes, fruits and veggies, the more used to it your body becomes.

beans giver's every one gas, but if you soak then in water with a little baking soda that helps a lot
