What's this "old best friend" and "new best friend" labelling all about... everyone has a different level of friendship, but regardless, friendship doesn't involve making someone feel badly by saying you "like someone better"... how immature.
Friendship is like love, it's not in a container that has to be divided... it can be multiplied anytime without having to take away from what is already there. Add another container.

Don't. Just because you find a new best friend doesn't mean that you have to cut all ties with your old best friend. Why can't you have more than one best or close friend?

If you shy you better think about what made you away from him then,in the best time create a row & tell him what you really do not like in his personality and then pretend that you are upset,Do not talk to him for awhile then start again and say"We should be just freinds"at this moment your new best freind appear. OR JUST TELL HIM THAT YOU JUST appreciate his freindship & you started loving someone else.

You can have more than one best friend. Have both of your best friends meet each other. Tell them that they're both your best friends. If one of them doesn't like that, don't push it. Your actions speak louder than words. So, whenever you want to hang out with one at least invite the other, that way you'll avoid any questions as to why you didn't invite the other.

You need to grow up, girly. To consider some of your friends more important than others is an insult to them... that's not friendship.
Friends should all be treated with the same respect. Otherwise, they are not really your friends.

Why do you have to have "best" friends? Just have friends and spend time with all of them - don't burn your bridges... your "new" friend could be a tool.
