The Big Bang can be rationally viewed as evidence that points to the existence of God. See http://www.godsci.org/gs/new/bigbang.html

Please email me the verse where the Bible says the earth is flat. There is no such verse that I am aware of.

Sounds like an inference from a verse (possibly) rather than a direct statement in the Bible. Such inferences can be wrong.

Thousands of years ago the Bible said the world was round and hung on nothing.
Job 26:7
He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing.

Isaiah 40:22
It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

The Bible is a book of faith and not science but even in these early passages the Bible shows that it has evidence of truth...Jim

scotty boy,
It seems you got lost in a black hole and ended up in the religion section.

So, you think that the bible says the earth is flat??? Seems that verse isn't in my bible, could you please cite the chapter/verse?

And while you're on the subject of singularity, and big bang and all are you aware that the theory of the big bang was started by a religious person. A Catholic priest named Geroges LeMaitre is the father of this theory.

I suppose new maths and physics will come next. God did not grant us sense, reason, and intellect just so that we could forego their use! The Bible is a moral and spiritual guide, not a scientific one. Therefore, tallyho! Onwards into the future! Let us explore the depths of the Universe together!

The Bible never said the earth was flat. The Pope did.
