In most cases if you stop eating for 4 days or longer, you may lose weight. You also may do irreversable damage to the inside of your body. Fasting for a day is good for the body and soul. But fasting any longer than that can cause ill effects to your body and mind.
If you are trying lose weight the best thing to do is to go to the doctor. Have an allergy tests to the foods you consume. Find out first if your body is rejecting any of the foods you maybe eating.
Once you have that information, eliminate those foods and eat about 6 meals a day. Very small portions. Exercise about a hour a day at a moderate rate. Drink lots of water, about 1 gal or at least three liters daily.
When you get up, drink lukewarm water and eat a little of something to get your system to realize you are a wake. It will then start the day burning calories to diejest the food. Then two to three hours again eat another small portion of something as the day goes on. So by the time you are ready for bed, you would have eaten about 6 meals.
No snacks in between meals.
If you were to starve yourself your system would understand that you need to store more calories once you start eating again after the starvation 4 day diet. Due to this extreme way of lossing weight your body would then consider you were to always to this and to protect itself, it would then store extra fat or calories and you would gain additional weight.

I think that first ,you will lose some water weight. You may feel like youhave lost weight,but then when you do start to eat again,the few lbs that you DO lose will come back,I suggest that you just eat healthy. No dieting is good for you,so just eat responsibly,drink your water,exercise daily ,and things should go well for you. Good luck!

that would be a silly thing to do to stop eating. when you start to eat again yr body will naturally store it all back into yr fat cells. its best to lose weight gradually over time and with exercise you would be able to do this. read tips on weight loss and exercises on this site

Yes you will lose weight. You will also lose muscle, bone and become dehydrated unless you drink a lot of water. However, drinking a lot of water if you are starving is dangerous also. Fasting for more than one day is definitely not recommended.
