I am asking this because I was surprised by an answer I got for one of my questions - someone who complained that USA does not care for its people. Thank you.

interesting points of view, and yes I have noticed there are people with less money but happy with their lives. That is why I asked "when you categorize?", because some people mat be categorized by others as being poor, however they do not feel like that .

When I see someone eating from a bin, wearing rags and sleeping in doorways, I think "they are materially poor".

When I see a fat, well dressed person eating a five course meal in an expensive resteraunt and going back to their detatched house by the beach, I think "they are spiritually poor"...

the only thing in the world that can categorize someone as being poor, not having a good living are 2 things.

1. Those who hordes worldly possessions and the more the richer they perceive. The other of course is the person who judge themselves by what the next man has horded for himself, and feel deprived of something more no matter what that may be!
and this is very bad really it is!

Now for your 2nd question
In order to categorized someone as not having a good living.
can only be claimed in the "Civilized" society they find themselves to be a part of and this is all.

Now think of this please if in the jungle living in a all natural environment you would gather hunt and these thing we perceive as having and the comforts in life would be nil!
the only thing which brings one joy in the natural environment is safety, shelter, food and small clothing which they would need!

So I suggest even with the very minimal of all that surround us in this so called civilized society is way too much for us to worry about, let's all just be grateful and not be so quick to judge one another by what is not important at all!
let's share the good and let's be grateful for all we have, I know I am
and what you heard about usa of how they treat the people is only opinion believe that! So I asked that you research to aquire all the knowledge needed to answer your question posed here.
The usa is where they dwell what about the caring one for another?

If you are unable to support yourself and your family and require governmental assistance or rely on charity to get by you are monetarily poor. But if you have faith and love and family you may be richer than those who have wealth. Everything is relative. Some of the poorest people I know are richer and happier in other ways than most of us could ever imagine. The old addage money isn't anything is true!

Being poor means that you have little or no means to support yourself. It can also mean that you are lacking in some quality or
thing. Poor is the simple, direct term for one who lacks the resources for reasonably comfortable living.

I wish I had a simple life. Have you noticed that people in third world countries are happier than we are? I guess the more things and money that we have, the worse it makes us as a person.
