The Philippines have been colonized by the USA for about 50 years and the Filipino people have favored the USA to become its ally, American leaders then even called the Filipino people their brothers.

The Phillipines is not a US protectorate and not a US terroritory. It's an independent country.

So its citizens have the same paperwork as almost any other country when visiting.

philippines is not usa territory, though it has been colonized for about 50 years, it regain its freedom as an independent country so that speaks for it.

brotherhood is just a term used to refer to the a degree of how close the relationship is

But I'd like to add that if the phillipines would like to apply for US statehood, I'd support them. Not sure what hoops the government would make them jump through though to do that.

And then you wouldn't need to apply for a visa.
