The class I am taking requires Microsoft office standard edition 03. I found Microsoft office student/teacher edition alot cheaper. I want to know the differance

None. If you can get it through school for cheap, do it. Its the same thing. My uni sells office pro for like 30 bucks.

Look at the Student/Teacher Edition.

Do you see WORD on the package? Do you see EXCEL? Do you see Powerpoint? Do you see Access? Do you see Outlook? Do you see Front Page?

Which of these packages do you need or what? The PRO version has them all.

But if you only need Word and Excel, then get the Teacher/Student Edition. It will work fine for you.
