your deep black hair sounds gorgeous. There is a product made by Loreal called Colour rays. You can get it at walmart and use it in your hair. They have 2 or 3 colors including fuchsia and red. they have a light one also for accent. This product works really well and you can design the color in your hair by deciding where to put it. I have used the red and it works great and is a very nice color. The one thing I must say is to not put the color mix too thick at the top of your hair because it will be stronger color if you do unless, of course you should want it that way. Follow the package directions but remember you can get creative with a product that is easy to use and really works as it says it does.

I definitely know the red highlights would look good because my hair is also black and i died the bottom half of my hair red and it looks awesome. for me it was a toss up to go with the highlights or just the bottom half but long story short red looks good with black hair. and about dyeing it, my hair has been many different colors and it just a chance u will have to take, if u don't like it u can always change it again! that's the fabulous part about dyeing your hair!!
Good luck!!! ;)

Do not get silver or go bronze most likely it will be brassy. Especially with your black hair. The red highlight would be great you could even get the heavy to go with a bolder look. I would go with a blue red. Tell your stylist they will know. If not don't do it

You should have no problems coloring your hair with red highlights. It should look marvelous, plus you have "virgin" hair, so it should take it fairly easily. The red would most likely be easier than the bronze, but either will work....Good Luck!!

I think that red highlights could work if you're going for something a bit different but I dont think you should dye it bronze.

I don't think the silver or white highlights will look good because it may just turn out looking like you have premature grey hair.

Maybe red or golden highlights. I think those would be the best choice for your hair.

Good luck.

hum... dear friend! If you really want advice, then my first opinion is leave your hair with natural color and just take care of them just because long hair need more attention to remain beautiful. It is gift from GOD. Everybody doesn't get it.

But if you really want change color to red, then go for some natural methods. In India, we have some natural red color dye. It is one tree called Henna. It doesn't make any problems if is applied without any chemical additives. And your skin remains normal. Only thing is, it sucks out heat from your body. So be careful.

you can read link

And third but most important thing is "DON'T even think of using chemicals for coloring your hair" Let people say whatever they want, but don't put yourself and your hair in danger for making them silver or some other color.

Please let me know what is your decision..... Best of luck!

I would go for red, or auburn high lights. But always ask your stylist first. My sister in law has black hair and got blond highlights. They now look orange. So go for more natural colors for your dark hair. I LOVE black hair, and it'll be gorgeous if you added some depth to it.

Go for it!!

I kind of agree with Jen, I (a guy) do like the natural look. But if you want a new look I think the red highlights would look best.
