Turn the other cheek my man. People like DuckPhup must spend their entire lives typing until their fingers bleed. For what? So that Christianity can be taken down via the overwhelming power of Yahoo Answers?
Think about that one.
Christians are stronger than that. They can have their Yahoo Answers and their cut & paste tirades, but WE will see our brothers and sisters at Sunday mass. And we all know how powerful that can be. The internet doesn't compare, baby.

Unfortunately, Rev., there are a lot of people on here claiming to be Christians that "bash" Athiests and those of other religions. It would be very nice if these shock value wars could stop. It is not just the Christians that are the victims, it's a little out of each belief. As well, many people do not like being told that they will burn in hell for not believing in God, or trying to convert them. As well as spewing verses from the bible, when more often than not, it does not even tie in with the actual question. I respect all religions, and I mean ALL. It is just those people who claim to be of a religion, but do not even truly go by its teachings that I detest.

Wrong from the first sentence. Most Christians I have come in contact with, and many who I have never met before have done everything to me. My parents kicked me out of the goddamn house, my peers constantly make degrading comments, my teachers don't give a damn, and then you have people across the country who want me dead because I'm gay and atheist. Lets not forget the millions of people who want to prevent me from marrying whomever I want, and the millions of people who want to force their religion into government, and their pathetic attempt at science into education. You don't go out of your way to put other religions down, you go out of your way to put other people down. Because your Bible has something against how I live my life. I don't criticize your religion, I'll respect that, but I have absolutely no respect for many of it's followers. Because it seems the only thing they take from the Bible is to degrade everyone who doesn't follow it. You might not do something to me personally, but when election day comes around you'll be voting for the candidate that's trying to ban abortion and same sex marriage. And that affects me. That's something I can't deal with.
I realize I made some serious generalizations here, and I apologize for that, but I am talking about Christians in general. If this doesn't fit you, or anyone who's reading it, then realize I'm not referring to you. I can respect you and your beliefs, just not the majority who want their beliefs to dictate my life.

On the contrary. The "religious right" declared war on the US Constitution, intelligence & education nearly 20 years ago (about 1987).
The "religous right" engaged all intelligent, rational people in battle. What else did you expect?
Do you seriously believe non-believers are going to lay down and let ignorant morons led by charlatans freely peddle their snake oil to innocent children & impressionable young adults?
Atheism is the only logical choice.

Because Christians are such easy fun targets, sounds so familiar in the beginning church. Does this equate persecution or what? They enjoy persecuting Christians today and I would say the day will come if you are a Christian you will be killed by the non-believers, or Muslims again. The Word of God tells us this. There will be a second persecution of the church this is just the lead in for it. It is being proved more and more. Everywhere you turn if you are a Christian, we are called infidels by the Muslim, stupid by the Atheists or just dumb by others. Keep the faith and fight the good fight til the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Yeah I just got bashed and for what? I answered the question "is there a Queen of Heaven" by explaining that Catholics believe Mary is the queen of Heaven and then saying that the Bible says that is not true and pointing to a link for a tract http://www.chick.com/reading/tracts/0040/0040_01.asp
and I got yelled at!

Where else are you going to find them? Best place of any to bash them and ridicule them and make fun of them. Thing they don't know is that the Christians are going to have the last laugh but they won't laugh as that is not God's way to laugh at suffering.

Because Christians are such easy (and fun) targets. Anyone with something more than a room temperature IQ should be able to figure out that it is nonsense (in the literal sense of that word).
I am in entire agreement with every word of responder duckphup's reply.

The key word is "most"
Just enough put us down and try to legislate "faith based" initiatives into our lives that you come to our attention.
