My daughter wants to get her ears guaged, but is'nt sure when she's 40 she'll still want them guaged. We need to know if the holes could ever heal.

i asume by gauged you mean stretched correct? As long as you dont go to any extreme say no bigger than a 0g there shouldn't be lasting effects, meaning they will shrink back down though not completely. Also be sure she takes it VERY slowly or damage can be done which may result in her not being able to get them to shrink or go any larger
To poster below me...................
It is called stretching not gauging and your skin is elastic, it will stretch to accomidate the jewelry and shrink down when it is removed. I have 1.5" lobes right now...trust me

I don't think so. Once the holes are stretched they won't go back to a smaller size or produce more skin to fill them in. Guaging is a permanant thing.

when u get ur ear gauged it only stays stretched out if there something in ur ears.. so if she takes them out for about a month they will close up and on leave a line.. they wont ever go back to the original earing size but it wont be a big hole in her ear.

and yes.. they do heal.. after a period of time you can hardly even tell they were gauged.
