Watch videos and practice at home in front of a full length mirror. Once you're comfortable with your dancing (and your shyness!) get out on the dance floor and be the envy of all your friends! :)

First of all the thing with Grinding is that the girl should lead and the guy should follow. But if you dont think you can do that then just try doing what the guy is doing, Copy his moves and sychronize them. Too make it more sexy, be creative like lift your shirt just a little bit, Bite your lip, put your hands on your/his ***. You know just do that kind of stuff. Above all have fun, because dancing is all about having fun. Just get into your zone and don't care at all what anyone thinks.

If your not truthfully being yourself then, your going to attract the wrong type of guys (don't do anything your not comfortable with). Those are the men you don't want or need. When I would go out I Never sat down, but I always noticed the guys and girls that never danced.....they just kind of stood there and chilled. I never thought anything of it, in fact I found it a challenge to get to know them. I knew I could always get the drunk male whores (same goes for girls)!! Wanting to dance like that is Fun, but it's also slutty, so it's whatever image you want to project. You don't always have to go along with everyone else. Trust me you'll get noticed anyway. If dancing is not your thing that's okay!!, because someone is always watching even when your not looking.

Be Blessed!!

Many talk of the movie Striptease DEMI MOORE Watch her and it is all about being in great shape. I am not in great shape but it looks as if strength is in. China for WWF was one to watch in being buff. It is to be soft too. Kind of keep it in the closet so to speak the stripper pole classes are a latest craze.
Do not go for the Sexy for public or money but more for the private personal relationship...Being a dancer is a art keep it clean in public and you wont get any unwanted attention. Good Luck

Practice dancing in front of a mirror... girls usually have an easier time dancing as opposed to boys. All we have to do is move our hips and shake our hair... Look at how people dance in music videos for cool moves... like look at Shakira or Beyonce for inspiration...

Be careful of drinking alcohol while trying to dance sexy. This can lead to very embarrassing dance moves that seem fine to you at the time. Others will laugh because you would be too drunk to coordinate your moves.

Do what I did...buy a dance workout DVD and practice it at home. Then you are getting 2 benefits from it. I can belly dance with the best of them now

if you dont wanna take lessons...
just watch a buncha music videos, rap and hip hop
and watch them dance, or you can get
dvds at the store and learn from them...

i used to be verrry shy in elementary school and in
middle school i loosened up A LOT...
dancing, yea, i'm still shy to dance in front of people
but one day at a school dance i got it on and moved my body like i never did before...

if you dont want to do any of these...get drunk.

learn to salsa or maybe even waltz.

it helps with grace, rythym, and teaches you to stay comfortable with a guy. sometimes you can even translate more formal dancing into the casual kind because the use of your mid-section and/or your hips becomes more fluid. good for confidence too.

just a thought.
