I am sure that it stands for "Model" as the M-16 A2 is known as the Model 16 Advanced 2. The Mk in the Mk-19 stands for Mark. As others have posted you can get a .50 cal revolver but you can also get the .50 cal in an semi-auto handgun although I am sure that it isn't a magnum charge. It isn't illegal to own either as some have stated. It is only 5 hundredths of an inch larger than the .45 cal it is a nice little "zombie Killer" though.

The M16 is a military automatic or semi-automatic rifle used in combat. Never heard
of a 5 shot .50 cal. revolver hand cannon.

M16 is for Military - 16th in a series. I'm seriously wondering why you would want an answer to the second. I can pretty much guarantee you that, if such a weapon exists, it's against the law to have one.

Since you already know what an M-16 is, just a little tidbit of extra info, the military is doing away with the M-16 and now they have a M-4...it's pretty awesome looking!

Lol, those are thrilling questions! :D a million. i could carry it with both palms, with palms fairly bent on the elbows. with the aid of the undeniable fact that is how i have considered human beings carry it on my fave television prepare. XD 2. i could yell at them "YOU fool!", yet i'd not shoot them except they were actively attempting to kill me. If I had to shoot them i could use a P-ninety, 'reason they're cool. 3. i replaced into about to p.c.. bullets, yet then I replaced my recommendations. Lasers (Or lazors, you p.c..) can be a ton a lot less confusing to target with, and zats fall lower than the laser catergory do not they? :D i appreciate those issues... 4. i could gasp in intense marvel, and fall to my knees, and then the floor. Ahh, the drama. And discomfort.... do not ignore discomfort. desire this facilitates! merely curious, yet why did you ask those questions? God bless!

I don't know if M-16 stands for anything. Its a model #. The M-16A2 is currently the standard issue rifle in the US armed forces.
When it comes to handguns, I'm clueless.
