i was a single parent for over two years with two girls when i kicked their dad out my oldest was 2 and the baby was about 2 weeks. i went back to work at mcdonalds. got all the help i could for child care cost and recieved food stamps and medical for my children and just raised them the best i could. now i am finally happily married and are no longer on any assistance. i did what i could to support my kids and now that i don't need the help i do what i can to help others. give back what was given to me there's not really a way to pay back public aid but i do donate clothes and food or whatever i can to shelters and pantry's

I believe that if you are a single parent that it is best to work for a daycare ( if your child is of that age) or a school. If your child is small and you can get a job at a daycare than you will get a discount on childcare ( or even get it for free) and you and your child are home at the same time.There are lots of jobs at school systems you can get without a degree and your still working and home when your child is home.

First, you learn how to spell, second, if you have no education, which I am assuming you don't, then you will have to get government assistance - then I suggest trying to find some sort of clerical work - depending on how literate you are. Most places other than the service industry require a minimum college education.
