My cat is lossing hair in patches and on both sides. The hair is still thick on his back. The cat is old and his coat has a rough feeling. He lives inside the house. He had fleas in one spot near his tail. We treated him for the fleas several months ago. He also receives flea medicine every month on the back of his neck. I thought he had fleas agains, so I bath about a month ago and used fleas soap but when I completed the bath there were no fleas in the water. He continues to loose his hair. He is also pulling his hair out. I was looking on the web and on a site stated it was toxins. They stataed he needed nature products to cleanes his system. I need to know if I'm dealing with fleas or toxins. I looked on him yesterday and I saw a flea. I don't know why he continues to get fleas. I have no fleas in the home. We have it sprayed every month. I also treated him for the fleas last week. What am I doing wrong with him. He is looking bad.

The cat goes to the VET. He started losing his hair about the first of July. Our vet is only open a few days a month. I'm going to carry his but I was trying to see if anyone has had this problem.

This could be a thyroid problem, or a vitamin deficiency. Or it could be an allergy. Your vet is in the best position to figure out the cause and treat it.
Next time someone tries to sell you a 'natural product' to 'eliminate toxins' ask one basic question - what specifically are these toxins? Why don't they list them?
In the meantime, it is illegal for anyone to diagnose and sell you veterinary treatment, only a vet is allowed to do that. Please be careful what you give to your cat as many ordinary things like aspirin are lethal to them.

The flea eggs could be living in his coat and they are very hard to kill off. The vet can prescibe a tablet for the cat to take if this is the problem. Fleas come in epidemics and cycles, the hot weather makes it worse. It's probably best not to give any treatments that are not prescibed by the vet.

It is time you took your cat to the vet
It could be an allergy or something worse
or it could be the fleas
Only one way you are going to know for sure and that is to take him to the vet and let them check him out

seems you need to take him to the vets. Your cat needs professional check over and get advice from your vetinary.
You cat is old, cant take chances here, your cat is fragile and needs proffesional help.
Until you see your vetinary, dont bath him or give him any more flea products.
Make sure he has plenty of fresh water.

it sounds like your cat has a flea allergy, this sometimes happen as cats get older, their bodies are less tolerant, the cat will pull out its fur, if you feel his body you may find little areas which have a scab on them in these places the fur will come out, he needs to see your vet asap.

Some thyroid disorders can be cured, but many require lifetime treatment. Learn here https://tr.im/hmf9H
For example, sometimes early stage thyroid cancer can be cured by surgery to remove the thyroid gland, but you will need to take thyroid hormone medication afterwards for the rest of your life. Goiters can also be surgically removed and do not always recur after surgery. In most cases, thyroid disorders need treatment over a lifetime. However, with treatment most people with thyroid disorders can live normal, healthy lives.
