How is this place..it looks like a must see place and are there great deals there? did u like it?

chatuchak-a must go if u visit bangkok. u can get anything & everything (well, almost!) from fighting fish to furniture to a fancy ring! word of advice: if u see something u really like, just bargain for a good price then buy it.if u r thinking of shopping around first to find a better bargain, chances are, u probably will not be able to find the stall later. it's a huge place!

Chatuchak is so big it's kind of overwhelming and hard to find things. But it is fun to wander around. You probably won't really get a good deal unless you are with a Thai person.
Oh, I think the new subway goes there.
Don't know about the floating market.

Floating market is purely a tourist thing - but still interesting to see and do. Chatuchak is the last stop on the Skytrain (Mo Chit station) and has many good deals. This is wear the thais buy their stuff that they sell to tourists. But haggle for good prices. If you have a thai friend they will get stuff cheaper that a foreigner. Anything you can think of they will have. I bought a life size wooden buddah, thai china wear and many more things for 25%- 40% the price you see in the stores.

Chatuchack has become more expensive through the yrs, but certainly will be less expensive than some of the shops.. The floating mkt, I think that is really a tourist thing.. There is a night mkt at Suan Lum, which is a little more upscale on the merch than Chatuchak.. there is the Emporium and Siam Paragon for real upscale stuff - - Pratunam for clothing, mostly wholesale and should be quite reasonable.. ok?
