and rightfully so. A while ago, she told some horrendous lie about my boyfriend trying to get with her a long time ago. The story was totally bogus and I started to tear myself away from her. I didn't understand why she would do such a thing. She would still try to talk, but I didnt have much to say to her.

Fast Forward to 4 months later, she called me and e-mailed me in a wreck. Her fiance was jailed and her life was falling apart. I helped her through it and we became friends again.

She is moving down here to get a job and she needs help. My boyfriend hates her and doesnt want me around her in the least. I understand where he is coming from. I was trying to be a good friend to her and we always did enjoy each others company a lot, but I dont trust her the same, but we are still cool. I still want to help her out, because I feel bad for her. What do I do?! Listen to my man and let her suffer or be nice and help out anyways.

I disagree with the tone of the first two answers.

You CAN separate the parts of the people and the competiting interests.

You CAN help your girl friend in simple ways and still not condone the bad things she did in the past.

Your boyfriend CAN learn to accept the good things you can exchange with her that don't threaten him or your relationship with him.

Everyone deserves a second chance.

What is wrong with YOU, and your boyfriend. This broad is a one woman wrecking crew and she is headed straight for your relationship. Along with the dangers she presents there you stand, welcome sign hanging around your neck and a "kick me" sign taped to your butt.

If I was you, the b**ch wouldn't have to kick me in the teeth twice before I saw some true color.

If I were your boyfriend, I would have already dumped my dumb-*** girlfriend (you) and moved on. I would leave you with your back stabbing friend, you deserve each other. She is obviously more important to you than your boyfriend.

Forrest Gump said, "stupid is as stupid does" and lady, you does "stupid".
