i'm not talking about blood or mythological vampires so if you don't know what i'm talking about don't answer...

Most people throw off energy without thinking about, wasting it by not shaping it or giving it purpose, leaving it to dissipate. Random thoughts, day dreams, emotions etc etc. If another person can make use of that then I don't see that there should be any issues one way or the other.
Even reading through some of the answers here, its clear that people have focused on the word vampire and the negative side of this ability solely.

They do exist and anyone can be one. As you know they are people who drain the energy out of someone else so anyone who likes to cause others strife for pleasure is a type of Psi-Vampire.
There are quite a few on this website with all the bashing that goes on in here.

For the most part among the Pagan community psychic vampires are looked down on and are regarded as people to be avoided. They are parasites whose company is undesirable.

I think that any person can literally suck energy from you. Even your closest friends/family have the ability to do this. Your friends/family can project these thoughts to you thus, taking your energy. If you are an empath, this energy will feel very dense to you. Always put your Shields in place, and cleanse your aura daily. Practice your spiritual hygiene and remove yourself when you are around them.

What about them? They exist. Many people don't call them that but that is what they are. The type of person who just makes you mentally tired to be around them, who suck the joy out of the room. Most aren't that way intentionally, some are. I avoid them as much as possible.

I've heard a lot of them tend to dislike psy-vamps because they mess with the natural order of nature or something like that.

I think they are, with a little practice, easy to quell. First way being the best way , to just avoid them

I have run into quite a few psychic vampires and dislike them very much. Anyone who actively tries to drain your energy for their own use is highly distrustful. Avoid them. They normally try to take the guise as your friend, but will patronize you and use you for their own purposes.
