a friend and i have strong feelings for eachother but have not been in proper circumstances to have a relationship. we will be living in the same city again come next summer, do things like this actually work out?

Some people can make it work. Especially since you are going to be living in the same city next summer. However I would try to keep it friends until you are in the same city. Good luck.

Distance makes the heart grow founder,sometimes the fantasy of the relationship is better than the real thing,do not mean this happens all the time hope things work out for you

my GF currently lives in the states til she comes out here (australia) mid next year and we love eachother too bits.
I see no real reason as too why you guys cant work out.

and mines already planning things, like 2 years down the track with me so whats that say?

My personal observation has been that people who try to wait for each other usually get angry and can't have a quality relationship later when they do get together. On the other had I know several couples who split to go their own ways and then got back together five, ten, even twenty years later.

Well I spent 22+ years in the Navy so I guess most of my married life was long distance, Guess it worked, were married 45 years and the ladys sitting right now..She just told me to tell you.. Yes, If its true love...Go for it my friend, it works..Your friend from Tennessee...ROB

Yes i do think it will work...I to have a long distance relationship...We both love each other,But the french benifits are not there...He to is suppose to come to california and be with me 2 weeks and the french benifits comes with him...hahaha...So don't worry my friend,things will workout for you and your girl...As long has you both love each other...Have a good life my friend...

Usually it doesn't just keep him wanting to call you. If you give him a chance to find someone else he will take it. All it takes is trust and honesty. Good Luck!!
