the periods in the Bible listed as "Days" during the creation, are not 100% proved to be 24 hour days but rahter time periods of light and dark. Also if God created the Earth from matierials already in exisistance (Such as Asteroids that are millions of years old.)
Unfortunally the Bible has also been translated many times and changed to fit what people wanted it to say.
Lastly, no where in the bible does it clearly say the earth is 6000 years old.

Acutally, cabron dating is only one of many dating methods that prove the Earth is much older than 6000 years. BTW: Nowhere does Jesus or God come out with any specific age for the Earth. The idea of 6000 years was manufactured by Bishop Usher who had to play fast and loose with the mythology before he could come up with the number.
Seriously, dude. It's hard to tell if you mean what you say or if you're just parodying the fundies. Please tell us the truth. Inquiring minds want to know.

That is great that you believe what the Bible says, and so do I, but I am an old-earth creationist. I believe that the creation "days" were long periods of time. The Hebrew word "yom" translated in english as "day" can also refer to an indefinite period of time as in Genesis 2:4, and also the 7th "day" is never closed out, it continues even now. Also, the Hebrew words for "morning" and "evening" also can mean "beginning" and "completion". There are also other reasons for interpreting the Genesis creation "days" as indefinite periods of time rather than literal 24hr days. I believe that the creation "days" were long periods of time, but I don't believe in darwinian evolution, because the Bible teaches that God created Adam and Eve fully human and that God created each creature according to it's own kind, and also because modern science supports biblical creation and refutes darwinian evolution. I believe that there is micro-evolution(small changes within a species), but not macro-evolution(the idea that a species could become a new species). For more scientific evidence for biblical creation you might look at www.reasons.org.

And yet, among the early fossil hunters were Christians.
The Bible is not proof.
The fact that you have ignored what it says in the Bible about Adams First Task just proves to me that you are not a Christian.
Adams first task was to name the animals. He named bats bats, and he named birds birds.
Bats are named differently from birds because they are different animals from birds.
If they are the same, they would not have needed a different name. Do you understand that?
Even my child can understand that. We don't name cars 'cars' and motorcycles 'motorcycles' if they are the same thing. Two things that are the same thing have the same name.
Birds and bats are different, so they have different names.
Bats are not 'night time birds' and birds are not 'day time bats'.
The fact that you believe that bats are in fact birds just shows how poor your education is, and the fact that you are prepared to insist that your opinion is fact just shows how ignorant, arrogant and potentially violent you are.
It does nothing to demonstrate any faith, just the opposite.
You are a fraud and your teachers are having a laugh at your expense.

Errrm so because a book says it is so we should believe it and ignore all the archeology. According to you the Earth was formed around the same time as the agricultural revolution. I don't think it is possible to age fossils a few million years. And isometric dating isn't flawed. Babies understand it because you tell them they soon become much smarter and realize you have the mind of a gerbil. Say no to jesus

If any Christians are reading this question, this should settle once and for all the creationism vs evolutionism debate. This guy fell out of the same tree as the ape, and when he hit the ground he was two bananas short of a bunch. This proves conclusively that evolutionism is alive and well.
Thanks for the 2 points, Kong.

The earth is around 6000 years old, but people want to say otherwise TRYING to prove evolution(which OBVIOUSLY is NOT true. There is no way to prove it unless they make it up.) People take God's creation and twist it around to make it look like it all happened "BY CHANCE". Like I'm gonna believe some cooky so called scientist that says I evolved from some monkey. No way. I was made in the image of God and I believe that with all my heart.
People are so hard hearted and want to believe their own little thing. One day every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord.
P.S. Are you from a different country and learning to write English?

The Bible does not say that the Earth is 6000 years old. Anywhere. That is a teaching that could be theoretically true but is nowhere explicitly taught. As one who believes you're just making us look bad.

Swedenborg said that the first literal man in the Bible is Abraham. The story of the Most Ancient Church of Adam and Even and the Ancient Church of Noah does not point to any time line.
