Sure, go ahead and like him. If you enjoy his company, then have fun. Everybody you date doesn't have to be husband material, you know! You can learn from every relationship you have. Some guys are fun to be with but not so great at being supportive when you need it. That doesn't mean you can't enjoy his company...every guy you date doesn't need to be "The One." If nothing else, maybe you'll learn that a guy's immaturity is something that you can't deal with and you'll know that for the next time around.

Two years isn't much of a difference in the adult world so in answering this I am assuming that you are (both) teenagers.
On that basis the answer is by all means go for him if you like him enough. Make sensible provision for the fact that he may be immature (boys generally mature at an older age than girls) and do make sure that your idea of what you wish to do in the relationship and gain from it tallies with his own ambitions.
The only note of caution would be that, if he is already a good friend, be aware that getting into a relationship with him could blow the friendship if something goes wrong.
Otherwise as long as you cause no hurt and take all reasonable steps to avoid being hurt yourself, then by all means get in there.

You like who you like. I would think that as long as you're both of age, it is fine. If the difference is about 20+ years, it may be more difficult as you tend to see life a little differently. But two years is fine. If you say that he's immature, then you need to discuss that facet with him. Being a sweetheart may not help long-term if he's immature. That is something you need to think about. Do you want children with him? You don't want him to become one of them either...though the arrival of a child can change many things...for better and or for worse!

If you're young enough in the game of life... then you've got plenty of time to eventually settle down, so go for it & enjoy the experience! It never hurts to try anything regarding life. Just remember if you go into it with expectations, be prepared that they won't always be as you thought. However, it could be even better than you thought. So don't worry til a problem comes your way in the relationship & enjoy his company while you can. You met him for a reason? So play out lifes game & stop over analysing it. Go get him, girl!
