Dude! I just wrote that answer to someone named "kev"! It took me like 20 mins. to write! But here I go again:
If a woodchuck could chuck wood, it would probably chuck as much wood as it could chuck because chucking wood is not as easy as it looks. Are woodchucks really woodchucking retarded or can woodchucks really chuck wood? Because if a wouldchuck could chuck wood, what kind of chucking would it do? Like if a woodchuck could UPchuck wood, how much wood would it UPchuck? the answer to that would be a tough one because I didn't think woodchucks ate wood, so therefore, they wouldn't be upchucking it unless they accidentally digested some. Or does the tongue twister mean: If a woodchuck could throw wood, how much wood would it throw? Which wouldn't make much sense either because I don't think woodchucks have arms to throw wood. Or do they have arms? What the heck does a woodchuck look like? Is there even a such thing as a woodchuck? That's the real question here. Did the tongue twister just make that type of animal up just to confuse people like you and me? Or is a woodchuck really a machine that chucks wood? What is the true definition of "Chuck"? Or is a woodchuck Chuck Norris's brother or something? I guess we'll never know.....

Ah yes! The woodchuck debate continues!!
Part of the reason the question is so difficult to answer is that the amount of wood that woodchucks would chuck on a given day varies greatly with the seasons and with the metabolisms of any individual woodchuck.
Modern internet technology has advanced to the point that we can reliably monitor the amount a woodchuck chucks in real time.
The results of this monitoring are shown in the link below;
Hot off the press!
Those with internet connected Palm VII PDA's will be able to access up to the minute woodchuck chucking statistics while mobile, maybe that's what you need to keep yourself on top of this rapidly changing situation.

The answer to this age old question has perplexed people for eons.
The results of this monitoring are shown below. Please note that the numbers vary due to the dispositions of the woodchucks involved.
Average amount of wood a woodchuck would chuck in a given day 174 butt cords of wood.
Median amount of wood a woodchuck could chuck in a given hour
307 butt cords of wood.
Record high for woodchuck wood chucking of 2857 butt cords
was attained on 6-15-1996.
(NOTE: the above tabulations take into account that woodchuks chuck no wood on
February second, in observance of ground hog day.)
