My friend, where you find yourself is where God means you to be,your shame and guilt is only due to the circumstances which caused you to be in another place, away from the people who are still in that place.Ask yourself the question;why, how am I here?If you feel the passion for your people that it appears pains you now, seek peace and guidance to find a way to help those that you love, vengeance, violence and anger will not wipe the forehead of an injured, suffering ,being .Your strength lies in the direction you take,if you are able to help just 1 other being, you will have served your God.We can do nothing if we die, only if we help,to live,do not feel guilty,God has meant you to be where you are,for a purpose, just try to meditate on what it is,and above all,BE STILL,quieten your heart, you'll be fine!

If this is a joke - you are on my BAD list. It's not a nice place to be.
Assuming you're serious, you did the right thing by leaving now. I would encourage your lady friend to leave if she can as well. It's not that you're giving up your country - you WILL go back when (if) things calm down a little. You are not a coward. Let the guys who are properly equipped take care of the bad guys so you can return to a peaceful country. Then, if you're so inclined, there will still be plenty of work to do to make your country livable again.
Please don't assume your family was killed by the U.S.A. Unless you were standing there and saw it (then why aren't YOU dead) you don't know.
Ask yourself if life was better under Saddam. How many of your relatives and friends were "disappeared" never to be heard from again. Think of everything he had and kept for himself, not to mention the Swiss bank accounts. Look at how his wife and daughters live.
The Americans will, hopefully, be gone soon and you will be left with a better country in which you can participate freely without fear of being dragged off in the middle of the night.
Suggest the same to her.
If my family were all killed I'd get the hell out of wherever I was, too.
Again, if you're pranking - shame on you.
If not -Good luck - you now have a chance to build a new, free country.

Don't be ashamed. As a United States AF (air force) member I am sorry for your loss. War is not fun, trust me. Do what is in your heart...what your parents and family would have wanted for you. Build a better life. I just got back from Kuwait in late January. Things are slowly improving, despite the news reports. Stay strong.

That's consistent with what I understand. She is brave to stand up.

We don't want to be there either. After Bush went in he had a press conference where iraqi's wouldn't let him speak and kept thanking him. Where are these people now?

That really ticked me off. We went in there with the promise when Hussien was taken out of power the iraqi's would come to peace. That did not happen and I don't know why.

Ba ashamed Be very ashamed. You don't have enough guts to see your country become free of terrorism. You must be getting your lesions from democrats, cut and run.. If true I bet your family was killed by other Iraqi Muslims. Too bad the religion stole your testicles Freedom isn't free and without its cost time to pay up.

Try stop lying!
Why is Iraq trying to force a United East? Why has it always treated others so cruel. And why are you such a liar. Why do you bring your manure here.? Your a hater trying to prove your useless point!

What should you do? Study hard and learn all you can about life and the world. You just may be one of those who someday will go back to build your country up. The day will come when you will be needed. Be ready for it.

The ones who leave may be the only ones to survive. You will be needed to rebuild your country later if that is even possible. I send my best wishes to you and your friend. Many US citizens do not support this war.
