There are 4 adults in this house, & I get treated like I'm 5. The kids don't even get fussed @ as much as I do.

sometimes in familys one is set up subconsciously as the "scapegoat" this is a way of distracting from the real issues which are going on.eg: projecting anger on to the scapegoat, laying blame etc,it saves others from taking responsibility for what is going on within themselves. As for what to do about it sorry that is beyond my capability to answer, except to say that stong reaction to others projections will not be any help but letting it wash over you may well be.

Actually the question should be........what are you doing to deserve it? Are you not pulling your own weight around there? Are you financially contributing to the household as an adult member of the house should be doing?
If you are just sitting around the house all day and not helping out with the financial responsibilities then it is no wonder that they are treating you like a child.
Children should be the only ones sitting at home a sponging off their parents..........not adults.

If you are an adult, you are clearly ready to leave home. For as long as you live with your parents, you will always be considered a child, because as my mom says, you are THEIR child. Save up some cash and get an apartment with some friends.

The real question is:
If you are an adult, why don't you have your own place? If you're still living with your parents/siblings/whomever you are the problem!

Much is only play among adults. Yet you may make a sign, in block letters, hand around your neck with a string/

DO NOT HOLLER AT ME. I AM EQUAL TO YOU.

It will work

Maybe if you are an adult it is time to take on the responsibilities of getting your own life, apt, and quit sponging of others.

Stand up for yourself and don't take it. If 4 other people all aren't getting yelled at and you are, there must be a reason (ie.not making them stop it) that you are designated the "yell-ee"

well whether you live at home or with friends.. if you're being yelled at for stupid things... it's because they're bullies. They have no respect for fellow adults.. and you need to either stand up for yourself or find another place to live.
