I am looking for some statistics for an article I am writing.

Are there published statisitics showing the percentage of UK residents that hold:

1. a credit card
2. a debit card

If you could provide an established source link to bank up the figures, it would help.

UK Stats: There were 141.6 million payment cards in issue - 69.9 million credit cards, 4.7 million charge cards and 67.0 million debit cards.

The number of personal debit cardholders reached 40.8 million, and has grown by 16.4 million over the past ten years. 84% of adults hold a debit card.

The number of personal credit and charge cards reached 31.6 million, just over two-thirds of the over-18 population, and has grown by 14 million over the past ten years.

The average number of cards per person was 2.4 credit cards and 1.6 debit cards.

78% and the average have £25.000 of debt including loans and hire purchase but this does not include mortgages

Idk but it is high, well most people have debit cards, i'd guess its very high like 95% and plus.
