If satan changed his ways and went back to serving the Lord, would there still be sin in the world? (like i said, hypothetical question...)

If satan changes his ways now after all the mess is already done, then i think there will still be sin...
satan anyway believes in God and fears Him...he only hates all the children of Adam and wants us all to join him in hell.
however, if satan did not exist in the first place and was just serving God, then i believe it would have been a world full of peace and love.

Well, I agree with the first answer that Satan serves God's plan now. However, if I take your question to mean if Satan went "good".... I think sin would still exist. Man still has Free Will. He'll just have one less scape goat to blame his poor manners on.

Second Satan has already been condemned to death, and God does not change his mind.
Third Man on his own will sin without the assistance of Devils

Yes, there would still be evil because of the amount of evil people in this world who have either followed him or the evil ones who say that they do not believe in Satan. As strange as it sounds, there has to be evil and good for the world to go around

I still think there would be sin in the world.
But if satan changed his ways, maybe people would stop being assholes and see that people can CHANGE.

Yes. One 'persons' change of heart does not mean everyone would.
Lucifer changing his ways would result in a HUGE power vacuum in hell and a number of lower demons would fight for the throne of hades.

i still think there would be sins. i mean, things we think nothing about are sins. we are sins ourselves (and unfortunately we will continue sinning until the day we die). i tried the best i could, but i honestly have no idea.

There is no such a thing as the "devil." That is part of the Christian tradition. Our own vices : ego, lust, anger, greed, attachment those things are the real evil. If one man kills another for the name of "peace." this is not the devil doing its thing, it is just our own greed and petiness, our own ego. That is the devil. It is within you and me until we are aware of it.
