I've been researching all day on the net everywhere, so I was just wondering if anyone knew anything off the top of their head.I'm researching my ancestry and I'm stuck here. I've already talked to my family about all they know and searched google, etc. thanks for any help!

German-English translations for "Ober {m}Maskulinum (der)":
garcon or waiter

lieben means to like or love.

Didn't find Alver or Alvers - Is it a name? Could it be slang for something?

My guess is it is a name for people who love a place. I would also guess that Alver is mispelled as is lieben.

The German language is big on compound words, shoving two words together to make one. Kinder-Garten= Kiddie area or Kids garden.

albere means to fool about.

My new guess is it means people who like to joke and laugh...
