I post a question asking people to visit the Darfur website and send a postcard to President Bush. No one has answered so far. The thing that has me really peeved is that some people have given my question a thumbs down rating! Is it really to much to ask of people to type there name and press send? My main question to yall is- What is wrong with caring about people and assuming that others might want to help?

StarShine girl- The postcard is not a friendly "Hi! How are you" kind of thing. It is simply used to force him(Bush) to step up and take the action he promised. Most activists for Darfur are anti Bush as well.

For shtrkr02- the reason I asked people to visit the site to send the postcard is because it's an electronic postcard. Meaning you don't have to waste 39 cents.

Sorry I havnt seen that question but the question I have is who would want to waste 39 cents to send george a postcard that he would never see anyway and if i did the only thing i could say is resign u idiot. And sorry I dont know what is going on in Darfur dont even know where it is but have a good guess and it is probably like all the other uncivilized countrys in the world KILL each other over a bag of s h i t or because u belong to the Poop Poop tribe and I belong to the Hoot Hoot tribe we cant fix the whole world till we get our part of it right And yes I am decent and kind hearted I give money to the guy who will work for food when he probably wants beer. I never beat my exwife who was a money hungry uknow who couldnt keep her pants on. I never beat my kids or raped my dog but if i am gonna help it is the little girl up the street who has no shoes or the old man on the corner who needs a meal sorry too much sorrow here at home

Sure there are, and there is certainly nothing wrong with trying to help others. Ignore the thumbs downs....unhappy people need something to do, lol.

I think people are reading your question, clicking on the site, but not coming back to give you an answer to your question. I was guilty of that myself, so don't despair :-)

I, myself believe that there are decent, kind hearted people out there. It's a matter of being safe enough to go out and meet folks.
I, myself am learning to just go out and be social just to meet people and share myself. I know that I am a decent, kind hearted person
( I'm not being egotistical in saying that.)

President Bush is not liked very much any more and you asking people to send a post card to him is like asking to have teeth pulled that don't need pulled.. its not because we are not kind hearted towards you it is not being kind hearted towards President Bush, he does not have us in his good interest and we feel the same about him.

There is nothing wrong with helping others. But there is something wrong with not having discernment about people and making decisions. Discernment comes with time. Live and learn.
