that is NOT TRUE!!! the reason why black boys grow hair fast is because they LEAVE IT ALONE... all they do is put it in some braids and leave it alone... Black women however put grease and stuff in their hair, fryin it with perms and hot irons and all, no wonder why. Also guys eat more, generally, and they got more protein in they bodies so they can have long hair...
I wore braids (yes like a guy) for about 8-10 months and it grew like crazy. My hair is all naturally curly (No relaxers, perms, etc) and it touches past my shoulders... If black girls will just calm down about they hair and quit messin in it, maybe their hair will grow a little better...
Also, grease is a NO-NO...it clogs the scalp and blocks out REAL moisture to the hair shaft...meaning it will retard hair growth. Thats all

Everyone's hair grows at the same rate no matter what race or gender. It's how you treat your hair that will determine how fast it grows. If you dye it and use chemicals and heat on it it's going to be dry and it's going to break. But if you are nice to your hair, then you should have no problem growing it.

Us sista's sometimes overprocess our hair with perms and haircolor. Using weaves with bonding glue and other stuff like that. Guys are not chemicallly treating their hair like we are. So..as soon as our hair begins to grow, we burn it off with a hot curler, or a flat iron. Take biotin , it is a B vitamin. I take it and my hair is growing and healthier than before. Guys hair always seems to grow faster because they are always getting it cut, so they always have new hair on their head with no split ends for one and no chemicals. They don't use heat or other styling aids that girls use. And most of them shampll their hair way more than girls..................... it's simple
