Any country with a decent army can beat an invading US army.
In your case if every Indian fart to the same direction it would cause the attackers to perish :) (we are talking about more than one billion people here)
But it will never happen.USA never fights against a proper army alone.
I'm not an anti-american that's what i saw in history.

Please read this.
The truth is that in the India/US wargames, the US had 4 f-15's total, and india attacked the formation repeatedly with 14 su-27/37 aircraft. the f-25s downed 12 of the Su-27/37 aircraft before the last f-15 was downed.
Thats a 3:1 kill ratio, even with the old A model F-15. Also, It wasnt the airforce, it was the air national guard.
The US has 1000 of the 1200 f-15s produced. It has an excellent supply line, and has a huge pool of pilots.
It has 2500 f-16's which have successfully downed mig25's and mig 29's. They are undisputedly the most manuverable fighter available. It is the only fighter ever poduced that can withstand a 9g turn with a full load ant any altitude. The Su-39 IS NOT EVEN RATED TO 8.5 G'S let alone loaded, or at high altitude.
The total amount of Su-27/37 fighters worldwide is about 500 at any momnet, and because they have a horrendous amount of problems, most are usually grounded.
As a pilot, I wouls gladly take a F15/16 over a Su27 series aircraft any time.
Id like to point out that if US aircraft were so outgunned, then why do they have such a huge kill ratio over aircraft designed to kill them, and which entered service over 10 years after the f-16, and 15 years after the f-15?
The current kill ratio of the f15 is 99:0, and the f-16 is about 50:0.
As more proof, I give you evidence that india decided to buy 126 f-16's instead of Su-37's.

Why in the world would the USA invade india? And as for the casualties the USA has taken in Iraq, very few of them occurred during the initial force-on-force part of the war. If the USA had to invade India and take an objective, we could do it without too much difficulty. We would not be able to hold the country long term against a restive populace though. But that's a different task than defeating the Indian military.
And as for the SU-30 vs F-22 issue, the USA has over 1500 modern fighter and attack aircraft. India has only about 100 modern aircraft (plus another 100 on order right now). This is a pretty big disparity.

Um why would the US invade an allie like India? I'm sorry but if we're doing war games with a country we're not likely to invade them. I guess, though, to answer your question they would defend themselves.
By the way when the US invaded Iraq it might have been the 20th; but that was because we stomped them back in the 1990's when they were considered the 5th strongest military on the planet.

Yeah, you only get good advice when it comes to dating. Politics, military, and religion are terrible categories here. People are either ignorant, or biased in the worst way.
Let me put it this way. When America actually commits itself to winning a war, as in WWII, we kick butt.
Every war after WWII we have just dabbled with out of respect for world opinion. We could destroy Iraq, but Bush isn't willing to risk the repercussions.
It's really ironic actually. The Bush supporters talk about how "safe" Bush makes them feel, and how "strong" he is. Well, he is certainly weakening the US military in a bad way with his Iraq policy. We had the same problem with Korea and Vietnam. No "gonads". If you are going to war, you bring everything you got. And America is too weak for that.
But I promise you, hypothetically speaking, if India was to piss us off in some way, we would go over there and destroy you, but it would have to be pretty serious, serious enough so that America instituted the draft and geared our industrial capacity up for war.
Don't be fooled...right now we are not on a war footing.
Peace, and good will to you!!

We would never invade India unless the government needed towels maybe for the troops in Iraq . India is an ally and has been for years and probably will be for years to come . They also do not have a huge Islamic population per se as I recall most are Hindus .

The same way if India would of invade the U.S.. We would fight like you will fight to defend our country and people. Yes India did won in war games but as you see, loosing make us better in practicing harder and and better so as to not make those mistakes from the past. we have the numbers and more weapondry. now who has the most powerful army? who has the most combat experience? and who has the most fierceless army? the united states is not # 1 in everything but we will go wherever it is not matter whos military force we have to fight. to the answer to your question we both will fight to any extend of victory.
