I apologized before, i guess i need to do it again ??

Question

I was raised in the Netherlands, I live in Romania now.English is my fourth language.

Yahoo!Answers has no dutch or romanian section.So, i'm stuck to the english version of it. My english is not perfect, i'm very well aware of that.

My english dictionary tells me this:
Spell Check Nazi: A person on Yahoo!Answers who points out bad grammar, but forgets that we are not all native english speakers. Spell Check Nazis are the worst kind of human beings on earth.

Not my definition, it's from my dictionary.

I promissed myself that everytime a Spell Check Nazi crosses my path, and answers my questions with only a remark about spelling or grammar i would do this:

You, Spell Check Nazis are ignorant fools, who are too arogant to appreciate the trouble people take to try and speak english on a World Wide Web.

I would like to apologize for my last sentence, even if i am not even sorry. Will you accept my apology?

(i guess i have to do this many more times in the next weeks)

Don't apologise. I think your sentence is great. I think I'm going to quote you next time I'm criticised for my grammar or spelling.

Please don't apologise. I know that learning a second (or fourth) language is difficult; it's not just a different set of words; it's different grammar, syntax, ideas, conventions and idioms.

I understood your question perfectly. Thank you for taking the time to speak my language. I am not bilingual. My Dutch sucks. My Romanian sucks. English is the only language I can even try to speak in. And I appreciate the effort that you, and countless other people, take to communicate with native English speakers.

You have no need for apology. Before anyone tosses a stone at someone else perhaps they should take a look at their own spelling or grammar usage first. Many English speakers, though raised in the language, have trouble enough with it.

Mark, I admit that I come down hard on those that refuse to spell properly, use spell check and have horrible grammar. You however, have very good grammar and USE spell check, and spell words out. There is NO REASON for you to apologize!!

I am with Debra M, At least you try!
There are a lot of people who live here, and do not even try to learn english!
And if they are around those of us that do, they only speak in there language,and we know they are talking about us.
You have nothing to be sorry for,and thanks for giving it a shot, and best of luck to you!
And we are all brothers and sissters,and need to treat each other as such!!
P.S. I am not against people comming to this great country, just try and learn about it and try to learn english.
And obay the laws!!!

I don't see anything wrong with your english, and if I did I wouldn't say anything about it. Four languages? Wow! I'm fairly good in Spanish, but that's about it. I love the idea of talking to people everywhere.

You might be encouraged by reading the wonderful responses I received from people on one of my recent questions. Some people realize the time and effort you put into learning our language. :)

Don't pay attention to the people who are jerks about stuff... just keep going and know that there are a few nice people left in the world... they're just hard to find... especially here. LOL

I'm French, living in Argentina, I hate Nazis, and I forgive you from the bottom of my heart, although I don't find it neccesary. They don't deserve even that you think about them. They don't exist except in their own ill minds. :)
