Here's an easy one that I found for you. It is a sweet,. pastry-like Mexican dessert.

SOPAPILLAS
1¾ cups sifted all purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons shortening
2/3 cup cold water

Stir flour, baking powder, and salt into a mixing bowl,
add shortening and cut in coarsely. Add water gradually, mixing just enough to hold together as for a pie crust. Roll out dough with rolling pin. Cut rolled out dough in half and deep fry each half which will puff up and should be done.

Drizzle with honey and enjoy :)

You spelled it wrong, but that's okay. They are very yummy, you can have them plain, or fill them with fruit, like apple or cherry pie filing, and they are so good with honey. Also good stuffed with beans, meat and chile, or eat them plain with a bowl of pinto beans with red chile. YUMMY!
