Most of what my religion says doesn't seem to contradict, I like the promises, there have been miracles, it defends it doctrine, and I've had it a long time. Your religion probably passes the same tests.

How do you know?

I find that muslim religion is best on the surface, but much worse in the details.

Some may need a defense. Islam in my experience lacks the compeling ideals of the New Testment (taken alone). It returns to more warlike and realistic terms. It has its humanism. And Mohammad was questionable in some of his actions. Jesus was not so. These points seem to seem to strongly damage Islams attack on the trinity.

Unfortunately the Islamic arguement have to make it through the other religions answers. Christianity founded by God. Islam by man, though you could say it was God by prophet and so forth...

Christian texts and manuscripts are very old and nothing seems to have changed. Though no there are non-original translation that are poor.

There's many good rules in the OT.

The arguements are grand, but we still end up in a quagmire...

Islam. Because:

1. Islam came in the end after all major religions. It supports Judaism & Christianity.

2. Unlike other religions, Islam emerged for all people on this earth. Most other religions were for a specific group of people.

3. Unlike other religions, Islam is not named after any person or any tribe of people. rather it means "submission to the will of God" & "peace". Which indicates it's robust openness.

4. According to the teachings of Islam, everything that a human being does with the pure intention of pleasing God is an act of worship. Due to this, Islam has an all encompassing concept of worship unlike any other religion.

5. The preservation of the scripture of Islam -- the Holy Qur'an -- is unique among world religions. No other religion has a scripture which is both as old and as well-preserved as the one possessed by Muslims today.

6. Islam not just a "religion" in the traditional sense, because it is not just confined to acts of worship, morality and other aspects of personal piety. The teachings of Islam, even though they do cover religious rituals and morality, also encompass all other aspects of life. Thus making it a complete way of life.

7. Islam accepts Moses & Jesus as two major prophets of Islam.
islam also asserts with no doubt that Judaism & Christianity came from God. Muslims revere both of them. But Jews deny Jesus & Muhammad, Christians deny Muhammad's (pbuh) prophethood. So basically it proves that Islam is closer to truth.

8. Islam is a religion without any mythology. Its teachings are simple and intelligible. It is free from superstitions and irrational beliefs. The oneness of God, the prophethood of Muhammad, and the concept of life after death are the basic articles of its faith. They are based on reason and sound logic. All of the teachings of Islam flow from those basic beliefs and are simple and straightforward. There is no hierarchy of priests, no farfetched abstractions, no complicated rites or rituals.

9. Islam is the most organized religion. It's base is on Qur'an & Sunnah. There are four major schools of fiqh (islamic rulings) which have been consistently working to make rules & guidelines regarding new matters in wordly life. If you visit a good QA Islamic site, you will probably find people already asked thousands of questions relating their everyday life, social life, political issue, religious issue & all others & got satisfactory answers.

10. Islam is the religion which holds the strongest idea of Monotheism. There is no truine God, no myth, no distortion, no mystery about the Oneness of God. Qur'an is the living evidence that was never been changed in the 1400 years as it is safeguarded by God Himself.

Islam:

Purely on the basis its foundations are based on the equal treatment of all races, cultures, creeds, social backgrounds/status and wealth.

All these were set many centuries ago, before government legislations were introduced to ensure racial and other equalities.

The religion also entails good reasoning behind why certain things cannot be done, very briefly:

Drinking - some people are lightweights some are not, a limit cant be set, people do disgustingly bad acts when drunk and the only way for equality would be to forbid it totally.

Pig Meat - Tapeworms and other illnesses arose from the meat of pigs more often in the early ages and even though sanitation is much improved, diseases still do arise and the meat is also very unhealthy in terms of fat and carbs.

The only problem with Islam lies in the multi-lateral meaning in Arabic, which allows clerics to brainwash individuals into the problem we have aka Terrorists, not MUSLIM/ISLAM terrorists.

Overall, you shall find that this is the true religion, it encapsulates the 4 Holy Books, Old & New Testaments, Quran and Torah additionally, all the most noble Prophets are embedded from Adam to Abraham to Jesus to Muhammad (pnuh). Thus a great deal of history and lessons can be learnt from one religion alone, could not recommend it enough.

It's an important question
Well you must differentiate between religions that was formed by people like some religions created in Africa and Far East and religions that GOD sent some chosen people as messengers to give people the Guidelines in their whole life.

Hope you are serious: Actually there are 3 true religions in the whole world: Judaism, Christianity and Islam
Well I am a protestant but if you want to know my real opinion about my religion: it's not logical and I think that the whole thing Christianity is not logical, How comes that the Christ is the son of the GOD, this is disrespect of GOD's Highness, this is illogical
and Judaism is worse in this issue. I've been searching for the best religion in the world for 7 years and I found that Islam is the most logical religion ever exists, but sorrowfully Western countries are running bad things and rumors about it. Hope you read about it thorougly from True Muslim People like I did.

GOD bless me and you

Nowhere in the Bible does it say anything about denomination. Nor does it demand that you regularly attend church at a particular place and time. 'Church' is actually a community of believers in a relationship with God, it's not a physical place.

Religion is not about rules and limitations, it's about relationship. Relationship with God and with each other. Denomination muddies the water of truth. Everything you need to know about the Christian religion is in the Bible, as such you could choose to never attend a church service and be more closely walking with the Lord than someone who attends services every week, or even multiple times a week.

I don't presume to know everything about other religious beliefs, or even EVERYTHING about my own, however I've come to realize that no matter which religious background you choose the core idea is the same.. A relationship with God (or whatever other higher power you believe in) and a relationship with each other. At the heart of every religion (to my knowledge) is "the golden rule"

For Christianity it's "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" or "Love your neighbor as yourself" same meaning, different words.

Wiccan's are supposed to follow the 'Wiccan Rede' which says: "An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"
Basically the same thing.

These are probably the two most contrasting examples one can use with some kind of 'actual religious belief' backing both sides.

Religious intoleration is a bit disheartening, because in a way all religion is a means to the same end. Have a relationship with your creator (God, or whatever collection of gods/goddesses you worship, etc) and a relationship with each other. It would be arrogant to assume that any is really better than any other when viewed in this manner.

However, as a Christian, I am called by God to spread the Good News about Jesus. I am called to find those who are lost and bring them to Him. This is not to say I will try to convert anyone and everyone I meet, but rather inform them of what I know and believe, and help them (especially those with NO beliefs) to find God.

Eastern Orthodoxy - the true faith as handed down by Christ.

Beginning in the 5th Century, the Armenians and Copts broke away due to refusing to accept the Council of Chalcedon

In 1054, The Catholics broke away.

In 1515, the Protestants broke away from the Catholics.

Orthodoxy has remained true to its form ever since.

It gives me great spiritual happiness and allows me to understand God and His universe.

Whether or not a religion is better than another is irrelevant. What should matter is which one is true.

There is no one right religon. What matters in considering churches is whether or not they are bible based and whether or not they spread the truth according to the bible and not what they want it to be.
